Activist Receives Death Treats Via SMS

A Malaysian activist leading a movement for electoral reform, Ambiga Sreenevasan was threatened via sms for her involvement in the movement. She had been threatened on the basis of her ethnicity, gender and religion, specifically because of her leadership in the movement for free and fair elections. These threats have persisted throughout which eventually escalated to threats of sexual violence against her. Despite, the debased actions of her naysayers Ambiga has persisted in her demand for justice and fairness for Malaysians globally who want make free and fair elections a reality.
