developing a documentation system of violence against women in the country

since last year, whub has been cooperating with the country's commission NCRFW, that advocates for the advancement of women in the filipino society, on the development of a documentation and reporting system of vaw. the objective is to develop a national consolidated profile of cases of violence against women so that the Philippine government is able to develop more responsive policies and programs. the project started with involving the national government's front-line agencies who responds to cases women who were victims of violence, this year however the project has a new facet that is to involve the local government unit in the process. NCRFW calls for a consultation meeting with all the stakeholders to talk about the new direction in the project and develop a more cohesive 5-year plan of action to achieve the objective.
