Last night I heard the noises- loud voices of two women screaming at each other. These are my neighbours and it was right by my doorstep. The neighbour from upstairs was confronting my next door neighbour. It was not easy for me not to find out what the natter was just in case someone had been attacked in their house and needed help. Just as I was about to open my front door, I heard part of what it was all about thus I retracked.

I have adapted the campaign and make it more based in videos with material about violence again women. I also included some links and materials that could be useful to recognize if you're under a situation of violence.

Renata Avila has written on Global Voices about the Take Back The Tech Campaign.

She focused on the importance of such a campaign in Central America, highlighting some of the female bloggers who focus on technology:

November 25 is the International Day of Action against Violence against Women. Municipal government workers now have a new instrument for this fight, the Second Plan for Equal Opportunities and Rights for Women and Men in Montevideo. The plan encourages us to participate and work from our different areas to transform social relations and achieve an inclusive citizenry.

What and who determines how women and girls should be treated? Who makes it feel like it's a crime to be born a woman? It's the society! It's the partriarchy in our system. But is this what we must consent to all our lives? NO! So wake up women, wake up girls, take charge of your destiny. Stop accepting it's your fault for being violated. Stop taking responsbility for someone else's failure. You will but live once, make the best of your existence Resist oppression!

Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC).is promoting the advocacy with the government in relation to community radio with other organizations since its emergence. Community Radio is playing very significant role in the countries of South Asia responding to other regions of the world. Recently Information Ministry of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh formulated Community Radio Installation, Broadcast and Operation Policy 2008 and we would thank the Government for this policy.

Being a middle class white male comign to AWID has been an enlightening experiance, i have come to see everyday things in a different light and see women and their issues in new ways and also have been shocked at the actions of goverments and groups who see womens groups as something bad but they have got it so wrong.
